Lora Hutelmyer Zemanek

Lora Hutelmyer Zemanek has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Commercial Trading Floor Intern at ConocoPhillips. Lora then worked as an Energy Industry Research Assistant at Penn State Earth and Environmental Systems Institute from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they joined Teach For America as a 6th-8th Grade Math Teacher from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they worked simultaneously as an Environmental Educator at Nature's Classroom Inc. and a 6th Grade Science Teacher at KIPP Austin Public Schools until 2015. Lora then joined Venture Outdoors, where they held various roles including Youth Program Coordinator, Youth Program Manager, and currently serves as the Director of Youth Education from April 2021 onwards.

Lora Hutelmyer Zemanek attended Penn State University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Energy, Business & Finance. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a PA Fish and Boat Fishing Instructor certification from the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission in February 2021. In June 2019, they received an ACA Kayak Essentials Level 1 & 2 Instructor Certification from the American Canoe Association. Lora also completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid training provided by Mental Health First Aid USA in November 2017. Additionally, they hold certifications such as Leave No Trace Master Educator from the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, and Wilderness First Aid from NOLS Wilderness Medicine, the dates of which are not specified.
