Wade McElroy

Wade McElroy has a long and varied work experience. Wade began their career in 2010 as a Performance and Flying Qualities Engineer for the United States Air Force. In 2012, they joined Virgin Galactic as a LauncherOne (L1) Stage Systems Responsible Engineer, SpaceShipTwo (SS2) Hybrid Rocket Motor System Engineer, and Propulsion Engineer. In 2016, they became a Leaders for Global Operations Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2017, they were a LGO Research Fellow at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. From 2018 to 2022, they held the roles of Director Of Business Development, Chief of Staff, and Business Development and Advanced Concepts at Virgin Orbit National Systems. Currently, they are the Sr Director of Business Development at Venus Aerospace.

Wade McElroy obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Wade then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Following this, they obtained a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
