Veo Robotics is building safety-critical robotic sensor systems to increase collaboration between industrial robots and humans in factory automation. Our systems are comprised of cutting-edge hardware and software. Comprehensive and meticulous system-level testing is a key part of ensuring we meet our strict performance requirements. We’re looking for a creative and talented cross-functional engineer or applied scientist to design and execute system-level test methodologies.
You Will:
Develop rigorous testing protocols with detailed materials & methods that evaluate the performance of systems comprised of sensors, software, computing hardware, and industrial robots
Collaborate with the other members of the testing team to design test plans to evaluate everything from the subsystem level up to fully integrated industrial robotic workcells
Source or design testing equipment and generate accompanying code, for example: data acquisition units, electromechanical test fixtures, motion capture
Generate, perform statistical analysis on, and monitor performance benchmarks for system acceptance criteria from system requirements
Organize and summarize test setups, data, statistical analysis, and results in written reports, and
Collaborate with design engineers to develop, confirm, and document subsystem testing
You Are:
A creative and rigorous test engineer or applied scientist with 5+ years experience in design of experiments for product level engineering testing, including verification and validation testing, for complex integrated hardware/software devices
Hands-on and comfortable with the Linux command line, data acquisition tools, basic mechanical design, electronics, and writing code, especially Python
Invested in the impact of testing you perform- tracing to requirements and risk
Adept at clearly summarizing and presenting complex test data and test status
Meticulous and process-driven in your approach to testing
An enthusiastic collaborator willing to operate outside your area of direct expertise to solve hard problems with the rest of our cross-disciplinary team
Bonus Points:
Experience with 3D sensors, optics, kinematics, and/or robotics
Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices/ISO 13485 or functional safety/IEC 61508/ISO 13849, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 26262
