Christopher Gernon

Christopher Gernon is a data analyst currently working at the Vera Institute of Justice, where responsibilities include conducting quantitative analyses, particularly focusing on the impact of New York's recent bail reform legislation. Previously, Christopher gained experience in geospatial and statistical analysis while working on electoral districting projects at the University of Washington. As a research assistant at Middlebury College, Christopher co-authored papers on the spatial relationship between crisis pregnancy centers and abortion clinics, while also serving in various roles including GIS tutor, sustainability intern, and U.S. Senate campaign coordinator. Additional experience includes internships and consulting in geographic information systems, contributing to analyses of pedestrian infrastructure in Topeka, gerrymandering impacts, and site proposals for anaerobic digesters. Christopher holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Cartography, as well as Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies from Middlebury College.
