Jaeok Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of research. Jaeok is currently serving as the Associate Director for Research at the Vera Institute of Justice, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Associate at the institute from August 2018 to February 2022.
Before joining the Vera Institute, Jaeok Kim was a Postdoctoral Fellow at John Jay College (CUNY) from October 2016 to July 2018. Jaeok also gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Albany from 2013 to 2016 and again as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kyonggi University from 2007 to 2008.
Jaeok Kim obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Pusan National University from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2009, Kim completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Forensic Psychology at Kyonggi University. Finally, between 2010 and 2016, Kim pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Criminal Justice at the School of Criminal Justice.
