Bryant Rump CISSP, Q/EH has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Bryant started their career in 1992 at AT&T Technical Services, where they served as a Program Planning Specialist, responsible for system administration and user training. After that, they worked at IDS as a Network Engineer, focusing on developing automated systems analysis workbooks. In 1997, they joined EDS as a Systems Engineer, providing second-tier user support and actively seeking new business opportunities.

From 1998 to 2004, Bryant worked at UUNET/MCI/Verizon as a Senior Sales Engineer, leading a product and technology-specific team and facilitating major IP connectivity sales. Bryant then joined Booz Allen Hamilton in 2004 as a Sr. Consultant, designing next-generation networks for the Department of Defense.

In 2004, Bryant moved to Global Crossing, where they held various positions as a Sr. Sales Engineer. Bryant played a key role in designing and presenting next-generation IP solutions to both existing and prospective customers. Bryant also acted as a subject matter expert for sales executives and engineers.

Most recently, Bryant has been associated with Vercara since 2009. Bryant started as a Sr. Principal Security Solutions Engineer, specializing in cloud-based DDoS mitigation and WAF platforms. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Security Architect, where they promote and supports cloud security solutions and handles large and complex security deployments.

Throughout their career, Bryant has demonstrated expertise in application security, DDoS mitigation, MPLS VPNs, and network design. Bryant has consistently been involved in product recommendations, technical objection handling, and shaping product offerings based on market trends.

Bryant Rump obtained a B.A. degree in History and Business from William Jennings Bryan College from 1988 to 1992. In 2017, they received the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from Security University. In the same year, they also obtained the Qualified/Security Analyst and Qualified Penetration Tester w/ License certification from Security University, specializing in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment execution and preparation. In 2015, they obtained the Qualified/Ethical Hacker certification, also from Security University, focusing on ethical hacking. Additionally, they received the Qualified/Forensics Expert certification in 2016, specializing in digital forensics, computer forensics, evidence collection, and incident response. Moreover, in 2015, they obtained the Qualified/Network Defender certification from Security University, focusing on exploit frameworks, hacks, attacks, firewalls, IDPS, SIEM, and packet forensics. Bryant also completed the CNS-320: Citrix ADC 12.x Advanced Concepts - Security, Management and Optimization training from Citrix Netscaler Training in 2018, specializing in WAF (Web Application Firewall). Bryant underwent hands-on training in Peakflow SP and Pravail APS from Arbor Networks in 2014. During 2003-2004, they received training in CCNA, CCDA, and MPLS from KnowledgeNet, and from 2001-2004, they received training in IS-IS, Advanced BGP, Juniper I, and Juniper II from MCI Technical Training Center. Bryant also completed various product-specific trainings from Checkpoint, Verisign, Cisco, and Juniper from 1998 to 2004. Bryant attended UUNET Sales Engineering University from 1998 to 2001, focusing on various IP routing, VPN, and firewall training. Moreover, they completed a training program from Arbor Networks in 2018, specializing in Arbor APS Technical Specialist. Additionally, they attended various LAN and TQM classes at AT&T Corporate School of Business, and also completed training in Windows NT Install/Config and Core Technologies at EDS Technical Education Center.
