Emily Pond

Emily Pond has a diverse work experience. Emily is currently working as a Research Associate at Verdagy since October 2022. Previously, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC San Diego from September 2019 to August 2022 and also served as a Teaching Assistant from September 2019 to May 2020. Before that, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at California State University, Monterey Bay from June 2015 to May 2019. Emily also gained research experience at the University of Joseph Fourier, Grenoble from June 2016 to December 2016, where they studied CO2 reduction by Manganese complexes. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Manager at Santa Rosa Entertainment Group from September 2014 to January 2016 and as a Head Sailing Instructor at Stillwater Yacht Club from June 2014 to August 2015. Emily also has experience as a Program Leader at BACR from March 2011 to June 2013 and as a Teacher's Assistant at Bell for the months of July and August 2012.

Emily Pond completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Sciences at California State University, Monterey Bay from 2013 to 2019. Emily then pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemistry at UC San Diego from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Emily Pond obtained several certifications including Open Water Diver from PADI in June 2011, Open Water Diver from NAUI Pacific Rim in December 2014, and Small Boat Sailing Instructor from the American Sailing Association in May 2014.
