Ryan Gilliam

Ryan Gilliam has held a variety of roles in the corporate world since 2008. Ryan began their career as the Manager of R&D at Calera Corporation, and then moved up to become the Vice President of Carbon Conversion Research, Chief Science Officer, and President of Chemicals & Chief Science Officer. In 2017, they joined 1955 Capital as a Venture Partner, and then in 2016 they became the CEO and Founder of Chemetry Corporation, a clean technology start-up. In 2019, they co-founded Fortera Corporation and served as the CEO, and in 2021 they joined Verdagy as the Founder and Board of Directors.

Ryan Gilliam completed their Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2008, and their B.A.Sc. in Materials Science & Engineering from the same university in 2004.
