John Redmond

John Redmond is a seasoned engineer specializing in product design and mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Staff Product Design Engineer at Verily since December 2015. Prior to Verily, John held the position of Hardware Engineer at Google, contributing to the Liftware team within Google Life Sciences. Earlier experience includes working at Lift Labs as a Product Design Engineer, focusing on assistive medical devices for individuals with movement disorders. John has also participated as a Rock Health Fellow and engaged in research at the University of Michigan, where John earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Additional roles include earlier engineering positions and internships, complemented by expertise gained through teaching yoga.
