Vahan Hakobyan

Vahan Hakobyan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Vahan started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Sonics, Inc. in June 2008 and quickly progressed to a Software Engineer role in December 2008. From July 2011 to September 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer 2 at Sonics, Inc., where they were responsible for designing and developing class hierarchies and Data Model API for various Sonics IPs used in the development environment called StudioXE.

In 2013, Vahan joined Optym as a Software Engineer and worked on projects related to logistics, process optimization, and automation. Vahan played a key role in completely rewriting the user interface of a project written in Silverlight, using cutting-edge technologies such as ReactJS/Redux.

In November 2018, Vahan joined Credit Suisse as a Senior Software Developer. During their tenure, they customized the Orchestrade platform based on the bank's internal requirements and implemented a service to gather stock prices from Bloomberg and Foxhound vendors. Vahan also undertook the task of refactoring a 10-year-old application, starting from the database down to the user interface.

In July 2021, Vahan transitioned to the role of Software Architecture Expert at the Corruption Prevention Commission. Vahan provided advisory services on the design of various digitization streams and worked closely with the commission to develop clarification questions for the development of electronic data registries. Furthermore, they reviewed technical solutions and provided expert opinions on their conformity to initially specified requirements.

Most recently, Vahan has been working at Verition Fund Management LLC as a Software Architect and Tech Lead since March 2023. In this role, they are responsible for designing applications and corresponding components for transforming company internal trades into Orchestrade based ones. Additionally, they customize Orchestrade to meet the company's specific needs, such as creating blotters, validators, and rules.

Vahan Hakobyan completed their Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University from 2001 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same university from 2007 to 2009.
