Hannah Robinson

Manager, Plastic Program at Verra

Hannah manages Verra’s Plastic Waste Reduction Program, which enables robust impact assessment of new or scaled-up plastic waste collection and recycling projects. Hannah provides technical guidance and support to project developers, third-party auditors, methodology developers, and other stakeholders using the Plastic Program.

Prior to joining Verra, Hannah performed research on sustainability standards, certification schemes, and corporate due diligence for the Biopower Project at the University of Freiburg, with a focus on global supply chains of raw materials. As part of this work, she published a peer-reviewed article on cotton certification in Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, she worked on environmental justice issues at the US EPA in New York and urban sustainability and climate change mitigation efforts at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, DC.

Hannah earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
