Peyton Deese

Peyton Deese is an experienced Human Resources Generalist and Social Performance Focal Point at Vertex Energy Inc., having held the position since September 2022. Previous roles include Website Manager for the Washington County Historical Society, Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama Graduate School, and Communications Coordinator & Grant Writer at Washington County Public Library. Peyton also served as an Adult Education Instructor for the Alabama Community College System and contributed as a Grants Specialist at The University of Alabama School of Law. Additional experience includes ACT tutoring with Stanley Study Skills, LLC, and participation as a grant reviewer for the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Peyton holds a Master of Library & Information Science from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology, graduating with honors. Washington County High School education culminated in valedictorian recognition.
