Mary Phillips

Mary Phillips, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research development, intellectual property, and entrepreneurship in the STEMM fields. Currently serving as the Federal Funding Assistance Manager at VertueLab, Mary founded STEMMBRIDGE LLC to support female entrepreneurs in transforming STEMM ideas into impactful businesses. Previous roles include Chief Strategic Officer at Thaena Inc., Co-Founder and Development Director of Portal Theatre, and Founder & CEO of Qualtura Biotech. At Oregon State University, Mary held multiple positions, including Director of Research Development and Associate Director of Intellectual Property & Licensing, significantly enhancing institutional research competitiveness. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Imperial College London, Mary continues to champion innovation and commercialization in science and technology.
