Bryan Macdonald

Bryan MacDonald is the director, pharmacology and toxicology at Verve Therapeutics. Prior to joining Verve, Dr. MacDonald was a project team leader in the Broad-Bayer Cardiovascular Disease collaboration at the Broad Institute, focused on cardiometabolic and atherosclerosis treatment drug development. He received his B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology, from Missouri State and his Ph.D. in Human Genetics, at the University of Michigan. Dr. MacDonald performed his postdoctoral training in the field of Wnt signaling at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is an author on over 30 scientific publications and an inventor on several patents relating to therapeutic enzyme inhibitors and biomarker development.
