Souvik Biswas

Souvik Biswas is the director, of chemistry and formulation at Verve Therapeutics. He is a synthetic organic chemist with research expertise in the interface of chemistry, nanotechnology and life sciences, also known as nanomedicine. Prior to Verve, Dr. Biswas was a scientist, in the discovery chemistry group at Moderna, where he was actively involved in the development of potent mRNA therapeutics. He earned his M.Sc. from the University of Delhi and his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Louisville, where his thesis research was focused on developing novel magnetic and lipid nanoparticles for nucleic acid delivery. Dr. Biswas’ research also led to the founding of Breath Diagnostics. Dr. Biswas conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute.
