Rajeev Chalana

Rajeev Chalana has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership roles. From 2001 to 2007, they served as a Major in the Indian Army, where they were responsible for HR management, general administration, and operational efficiency of a fighting unit. During their time in the army, they ensured high standards of readiness, discipline, training, and motivation for a combat workforce.

In 2007, Rajeev joined Essar Steel as a Manager before moving on to Lear Automotive India Private Limited in 2008. At Lear, they served as the Head of Human Resources for India Engineering Centres, overseeing eight manufacturing plants and two R&D/engineering centers. Lear Corporation is a global automotive technology leader with a presence in multiple cities in India.

In 2018, Rajeev joined Vesuvius, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering and technology. Rajeev initially served as the Human Resources Director for South Asia, responsible for HR functions in India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Later in 2023, they became the Human Resources Director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, where they were a member of the Senior Leadership Team for Advanced Refractories. Rajeev's role involved providing innovative solutions, delivering products and services, and making industrial processes safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

Throughout their career, Rajeev has demonstrated competency in result-oriented leadership, change management, talent management, organization development, compensation & benefits, employee engagement, industrial relations, and the formation and implementation of HR systems and policies.

Rajeev Chalana completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Symbiosis Centre For Management and Human Resource Development, with the program taking place from 2015 to 2017. Prior to this, they earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computers from Panjab University between 1998 and 2001. Rajeev also completed their 12th Standard education from Sainik School Chittorgarh from 1991 to 1998.
