Chris Carver has extensive experience in cloud architecture and technical leadership roles. Chris has worked in various companies, including Veterans Engineering, SAIC, Unisys, Octo Consulting Group, CSRA Inc, CSC, Wheeler Network Design, NTT America, Operational Research Consultants Inc, and Moon River Software.
At Veterans Engineering, they currently serve as the Chief Cloud Architect for the US Dept of Veterans Affairs. Prior to that, they held a similar role at SAIC for the same department. Chris also worked as a Cloud Architect at Unisys and Octo Consulting Group.
From 2015 to 2018, Chris worked at CSRA Inc as the Chief Architect for the FAA Cloud Services program, where they were responsible for the development and evolution of the program architecture. Chris also served as a Principal Solution Architect, supporting program and project delivery and specializing in cloud services and Agile software development.
At CSC, Chris worked as a Deputy Operations Manager, overseeing the operations of applications serving over 550,000 participating organizations. Chris also worked as a Disaster Recovery Architect at Wheeler Network Design, designing and implementing a disaster recovery solution.
Prior to their cloud and architecture roles, Chris worked as a Level 3 Unix Systems Administrator at NTT America, providing technical support to enterprise customers. Chris also worked as a Systems Engineer at Operational Research Consultants Inc and as a Systems Administrator at Moon River Software.
Throughout their career, Chris has showcased their expertise in cloud services, architecture design, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, and technical support. Chris has a strong background in working with government agencies and has experience in vendor negotiation, writing RFP and RFI responses, and solution design and implementation.

Chris Carver attended George Mason University from 2010 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they attended Northern Virginia Community College and earned an Associate of Science degree in General Studies. Their high school education was completed at Bedford High School, where they received a High School degree between 1998 and 2001.
In addition to their formal education, Chris Carver has obtained several certifications. They obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2022. They also received an AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in December 2019. They obtained an AWS Certified Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, an AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty certification in January 2018, and an AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification in June 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification in January 2017 and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification in August 2016. They also received an AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification, an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification, and a Certified Scrum Master certification in March 2016. Lastly, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May 2015 and an ITIL Foundation certification from EXIN in May 2013.
