Founding Engineer at Veza

Mateo Davis has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. In 2016, they were a Teaching Assistant at Tufts University, where they facilitated labs in Machine Structure and Assembly Language Programming, and tutored students in weekly office hours. Mateo also worked as a UX Intern at BRCK, where they worked with the UX Lead to create user profiles and wireframes, and conducted user research in schools and communities in Nairobi and around Kenya. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern and then Software Engineer at Ab Initio Software. During their time there, they co-wrote a data cube design specification, implemented a data cube view renderer and rendering framework, and built a drag and drop UI in native HTML for cube manipulation. Mateo also owned containerization infrastructure written in Golang and KornShell used for customer deployments of Ab Initio software, and collected and synthesized customer feedback into a cohesive plan for updating and maintaining container infrastructure. Most recently, Mateo Davis has been a Founding Engineer at Veza since 2021.

Mateo Davis attended The Thacher School from 2010 to 2014 and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Tufts University from 2014 to 2018.
