Roee Shachar

Roee Shachar is an experienced software engineer and team leader with a demonstrated history in backend development and R&D leadership. Currently serving as the R&D Backend Team Leader at Via since February 2019, Roee also held roles as a Software Engineer at Intuit and WISE AIR, where significant achievements included designing a task scheduling system and optimizing algorithms for real-time bidding campaigns. Previous roles at MobiGuide involved developing clinical algorithms and a mediator server for patient data analysis. Initial experience includes network support roles at Gilat Satcom and within the Israeli Air Force, where leadership and networking infrastructure maintenance were key responsibilities. Roee holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Software Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
