Kevin McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy has a diverse work experience in the field of media production and management. Kevin started their career as a Manager of Satellite Coordination at NewSport - Cablevision in 1994, where they supervised a team and managed newsroom reception and transmission of sports-related material. In 1997, they joined Worldwide Television News - ABC News as a Project Manager, responsible for managing remote productions and satellite transmissions for corporate and broadcast clients, as well as producing video news releases.

From 1999 to 2003, Kevin worked at Medialink Worldwide as a Senior Live Events Producer. In this role, they organized and managed large-scale audio/video productions and live broadcast events for domestic and international clients. Kevin also served as a Senior Producer on satellite media tours, video news releases, and other client services productions, requiring extensive travel worldwide.

Kevin then joined Grace Digital Media in 2003 as a Project Manager/Senior Producer. Here, they coordinated and managed various broadcast and corporate productions, both within the facility and on-location at different venues and studios. Kevin was responsible for budgeting, hiring and managing staff, planning technical requirements, and troubleshooting technical and logistical problems during productions.

In 2012, Kevin worked at Synaptic Digital as a Director of Client Solutions, overseeing client accounts in the Washington, DC area and building strategic relationships to increase revenue. Kevin then became an Independent Contractor in 2013, working as a Television Production Consultant, before joining VideoLink LLC (an AVI-SPL Company) later that year as a Senior Production Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the overall production management at the VideoLink headquarters and worked directly with the Vice President of Production.

In 2015, Kevin was promoted to Director of Production at VideoLink, where they managed the post-production facility, staff editor, and other production-related responsibilities. Kevin'srole included overseeing all client productions, from conception to completion, including live and taped studio productions, remote productions, and post-production.

Finally, in 2019, Kevin was promoted to Vice President of Production at VideoLink, where they continued to lead the production department and direct various production activities.

Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated expertise in production management, client relationship-building, and strategic planning, resulting in successful and high-quality media productions.

Kevin McCarthy attended Hofstra University's School of Communications, where they studied broadcast television and music. Kevin also attended Onondaga Community College as a music education major. Prior to that, they attended Mepham High School, but no specific field of study or degree was mentioned.
