Thomas Schaffernoth

Thomas Schaffernoth has held various positions in the tech industry since 2007. Thomas began their career as a Director of Engineering at Epocrates, Inc. in 2007. In 2010, they were promoted to Senior Director of Engineering, where they guided the end-to-end development process of the Epocrates iPad application. In 2013, they became the Executive Director of Engineering at athenahealth, Inc., where they shepherded the post-M&A movement of an engineering team of 40 into the new cultural and organizational model. In 2015, they co-founded Nearchus, Inc., where they personally coded and designed products while guiding executive strategies and partnerships. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded VidyPros, where they built a video platform that allowed consumers and service providers to connect through video and provided mobile office tools for the service provider to run their jobs while in the field.

Thomas Schaffernoth obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington between 1980 and 1984. In September 2020, they also obtained six certificates from HackerRank in C (Basic and Intermediate), C++ (Basic), Problem Solving (Basic and Intermediate), and SQL (Basic).
