Markus Deimel

Markus Deimel is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the insurance and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Group Chief Information Officer at Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe since April 2018, Markus also holds the position of Sprecher der Geschäftsführung at VIG IT Digital Solutions GmbH and acts as Geschäftsführer of Twinformatics GmbH. Prior experience includes roles as Group CIO at Viridium Gruppe from January 2015 to March 2018, and various executive positions at Old Mutual Limited between 2000 and 2014, including CFO of the European Business Unit and COO of Skandia Österreich. Early career highlights include significant roles at SAP, IBM, and Allianz Group, with a foundational education in Wirtschaftsingenieur from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
