In 2003, Megan attended the University of Ottawa, but it is unclear if they completed a degree. Megan completed high school at Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute from 1999 to 2003, earning an Honours High School Diploma.

In addition to their formal education, Megan Hiner has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a Certified Living Office Specialist from Herman Miller.
