Alger Torres

As Program Manager at Village Capital, Alger works on identifying, analyzing, and supporting early-stage companies in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and agriculture in Latin America. Alger helps entrepreneurs to consolidate their financial strategies and prepare them in their investment readiness process.

He’s particularly passionate about helping impact entrepreneurs on their decision-making, regarding financial matters.

Alger joined Village Capital from Kaya Impacto, where he structured SAFE Investment Vehicles and supported early-stage companies in Term Sheets negotiations. He also supported SMEs in their financial modeling process, creation of efficiency measurement tools, financial analysis, and database management. Prior to joining the impact investing sector, Alger worked in BBVA Bancomer where he designed an investment strategy that outperformed the “Indice Rentable”.
