Ian Mountjoy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ian began their career in 1999 at King Construction, where they worked in construction-related roles until 2002. Following this, they joined Wharf Research as a Market Research Associate until 2008. During that time, from 2003 to 2008, they also worked as a Residential Counselor at Catholic Charities SF. In 2008, Ian co-founded the International Professional Partnerships for Sierra Leone, Inc. In 2009, they transitioned to Partners In Health, where they held multiple positions, including Procurement and Logistics Operations Analyst, Supply Chain Coordinator, International Operations Specialist, and Director of Operations, Liberia. In 2014, Ian worked as a Senior Consultant at BME Strategies. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Strategy Advisor Consultant at the International Rescue Committee. Since 2018, Ian has been with Village Health Works, initially serving as the Director of Procurement and later as the Chief Operating Officer.

Ian Mountjoy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Field Studies: Critical Theory, Gender, Health, and Migration from the University of California, Berkeley. Ian also completed a certification course titled "Dan Ariely on Making Decisions" offered by LinkedIn, which they obtained in September 2022.
