Rusty McGuire

Rusty McGuire is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Commonwealth's Attorney for the County of Louisa, where responsibilities include prosecuting cases and collaborating with law enforcement to integrate technology into investigations. With a background in cyber crime prosecution, Rusty has held various significant roles, including Chief Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney and Special Assistant United States Attorney, where expertise in digital forensics and cyber investigations was developed. Additionally, Rusty serves in the Virginia National Guard as a BDE Commander and has been a keynote speaker on technology-related topics. An educator at Virginia Union University, Rusty has also received advanced education, including a Master's degree in Military Strategic Studies from The United States Army War College and a J.D. from Cooley Law School.
