Chynna Holmes

Chynna Holmes has a diverse work experience in the field of audiovisual technology and IT support. Chynna started their career as a Special Events Sound & Light Engineer at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School, where they set up and operated audiovisual equipment during special functions. Chynna then worked as an IT Technician at Insight Global, providing technical support to students and faculty. Chynna also had an internship as an Integration Technician at Productive AV, where they installed and tested cables for various projects. Chynna also worked as an Audio Visual Specialist at Flik Hospitality Group, managing technician schedules and assisting with troubleshooting computer technicalities. Chynna further gained experience as an AV IT/Desktop Support at the Virginia Department of Transportation, and as an Audio/Visual Technology Specialist at the National Science Foundation. Most recently, they worked as an AV Operations Tech at Indeed.com, supporting users through ticketing platforms and creating team documentation. Currently, Chynna holds the position of Audio Visual Lead at Virginia State University, where they are responsible for managing AV equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and delegating tasks to the AV technician team.

Chynna Holmes completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Audio Technology from American University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Music, Business, and Production from Old Dominion University in 2016. In addition to their formal education, Chynna has also obtained various certifications in fields such as audiovisual technology, IT service management, and computer hardware and software.
