Igor Gembitsky

Igor Gembitsky has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Igor began their career as a Student Researcher and Academic Tutor at SUNY New Paltz in 2006 and continued in the role until 2007. Igor then served as the Chair of the Council of Organizations at the Student Association, SUNY New Paltz from December 2007 to May 2008.

In 2008, Igor worked as a Lab Technician at Sono-Tek Corporation for a brief period of time. Igor then joined UAB Hospital in 2010 as a Research Technician, where they worked until 2011.

Following this, Igor Gembitsky became a Standardized Patient Instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from September 2011 to March 2012.

Igor then transitioned to a role at the Institute for Humane Studies, where they worked as a Video Producer from April 2012 to September 2012. Following this, they assumed the position of Online Product Manager, where they played a pivotal role in creating an online education platform called Learn Liberty Academy. During their tenure, they successfully launched four web products and ran multiple experimental online programs.

In 2014, Igor took on the role of a Freelance Product Strategy Consultant as a self-employed contractor, where they provided strategic guidance to various clients until March 2017.

In 2015, Igor joined HappyFunCorp as a Product Manager. In this role, they worked closely with clients such as Harvard University, Brooklyn Museum, and Virtual Diamond Boutique, among others. Igor was responsible for turning their vision into working technology through a design-driven product development process.

Currently, Igor Gembitsky is employed at Virtual Diamond Boutique - VDB. Igor started working at the company in August 2017 as the Director of Product Development. Eventually, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Customer Success in December 2021, where they continue to contribute to the success and growth of the organization.

Igor Gembitsky began their education in 2004 at SUNY New Paltz, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology. Igor attended SUNY New Paltz from 2004 to 2008. In 2011, Igor briefly studied Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. However, no degree was specified for this period.

In addition to their formal education, Igor has also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they completed the "Programming for Non-Programmers" course at One Month, as well as the "One Month Ruby on Rails" course. Igor also earned certificates in "Exploratory Data Analysis," "R Programming," and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox," all through Coursera Verified Certificates. Most recently, in April 2022, Igor obtained the "Analyze Data with SQL Skill Path" certification from Codecademy.
