Greg van Ginkel

Greg Van Ginkel has a diverse and extensive work experience. Greg is currently the Director of Strategy at Visionist, Inc., a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Program Manager, Business Development at Visionist, Inc. starting from March 2020.

Before joining Visionist, Inc., Greg worked at Praxis Engineering as a Principal Engineer, Deputy Program Manager. Greg provided technical and program leadership for large efforts related to accessing signals of interest obtained through unconventional means, supporting information assurance, cyber defense, and intelligence missions. Greg collaborated with various stakeholders to accelerate mission solutions using IoT technologies. Greg held this position from December 2015 to February 2020.

Greg also gained valuable experience at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Associate, Chief Technologist. Greg'srole involved providing technical, architecture, and task program leadership for cloud transformation and migration, enterprise data interoperability, mobile application integration, and advanced decision modeling. Additionally, they served as the Chief Technologist and Task Order Manager for a contract providing cyber defense and CND capabilities. Greg held this position from July 2012 to November 2015.

Prior to Booz Allen Hamilton, Greg worked at BAE Systems in two different roles. Firstly, as the Chief Engineer, Strategic Systems Programs, they oversaw strategic analysis, performance requirements, transition plans, and technology roadmaps for Trident II D5 SSBNs. Greg also led an IT modernization initiative to consolidate various application and data systems. This role spanned from February 2010 to July 2012. Secondly, they served as the Chief Systems Engineer, Enterprise Architecture & Operations Analysis, leading architecture, software development, and modeling/simulation teams for information management and storage systems serving intelligence agencies. Greg held this position from January 2002 to February 2010.

Earlier in their career, Greg worked at eFederal Systems as the Director of Information Technology for the duration of 2000 and 2001. Greg also worked at Buy.com as a Senior Applications Engineer & Development Manager from July 1999 to August 2000, and at Ingram Micro as a Software Engineer from December 1997 to July 1999.

Greg Van Ginkel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from California State University, Fullerton. Greg also has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management, Enterprise Architecture from National University. Additionally, Greg Van Ginkel has obtained several certifications including Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) from The FEAC Institute, ITIL v3 Foundations Certified Practitioner from ITIL Certified, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) from the Project Management Institute, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
