Massimo Ferrarelli has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Massimo started their career at INAER as an aviation software consultant from 2002 to 2004. Massimo then worked at Alitalia Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA as a maintenance engineer, focusing on software development and management of the fleet's Minimum Equipment List from 2002 to 2004. Starting in 2004, Ferrarelli joined Blue Panorama Airlines as an Avionics Engineering Manager and Engineering Safety Officer. Massimo was responsible for airworthiness evaluation and control, as well as base maintenance representative duties. In 2013, Ferrarelli joined VistaJet International as an Avionics Engineering Manager, focusing on airworthiness review, technical document evaluation, maintenance support, and reliability analysis. Throughout their career, Ferrarelli has demonstrated expertise in avionics engineering, safety management, and maintenance operations.

Massimo Ferrarelli has a diverse education history. Massimo obtained a Combined Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" - Faculty of Engineering - Dept. of Computer Engineering from 1990 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Technical Institute Antonio Meucci in Rome, Italy from 1983 to 1988, where they received a degree as a computer engineering technician (Italian definition: perito industriale capotecnico). In 2002, they pursued a 2nd level (1 year) Master's Degree in Air Transport from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" - Faculty of Engineering - Dept. of Aeronautical Engineering. Alongside their formal education, they earned additional certifications such as an Airplane Private Pilot License PPL(A) from ENAC in 2010, an Advanced Open Water Diver License from PADI in 2008, an Advanced Sailing License from FIV in 2006, and an Amateur Radio License from the Italian Government Telecommunications Department in 1998.
