Research Associate at Vitaccess

Tsitsi Monera-Penduka, PhD, AAHIVP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of healthcare and research. Tsitsi has worked as a Research Associate at Vitaccess since 2023. Tsitsi'sresponsibilities included steering the fellowship program and enhancing the regulatory assessment capacities of assessors from multiple countries.

Tsitsi's work experience also includes positions at the University of Zimbabwe, where they were a Senior Lecturer, Research Group Lead, Consultant/HIV Pharmacy Specialist, Scientific Dissemination Consultant, Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. During their time at the university, they played various roles in clinical education, research, and scientific writing.

Additionally, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Nectacare, a Global Health Equity Scholar at Stanford University, a Visiting Scholar at Washington State University, and a Pharmacy Manager at AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Tsitsi was also a YPG Liaison for the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).

Tsitsi Monera-Penduka, PhD, AAHIVP has an extensive education history in the field of clinical pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences. Tsitsi achieved their BPharm(Hons) degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 2005, followed by a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Pharmacology from the same institution from 2006 to 2009. In 2006, they also completed a Pharmacology Fellowship in PKPD at the University of California, San Francisco.

Continuing their academic journey, Tsitsi pursued a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Zimbabwe from 2010 to 2018. During this time, they also served as a Research Fellow at the Biomedical Research and Training Institute from 2007 to 2013, focusing on HIV research.

Tsitsi further enhanced their expertise by completing an MSc in Clinical Trials at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they pursued a Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship in TDM at the University at Buffalo Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2011 to 2013.

In terms of certifications, Tsitsi obtained a Comprehensive Medication Management certification from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in September 2021. Tsitsi also holds the title of Fellow from the Zimbabwe Young Academy of Sciences and is recognized as an HIV Pharmacist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
