Karen Murphy

Karen Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Karen has worked in various roles, starting with their most recent position as a LifeSource Account Manager- Donor Development at Vitalant since November 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Assistant/Teaching Assistant at Northern Illinois University from 2011 to 2014.

In 2007, Karen served as a Regional Account Rep at Nanogen, where they were responsible for selling Point of Care Diagnostic Devices to medical facilities. During their time there, they achieved an 11% increase in new account sales.

Before that, they worked at PDI, Inc. from 2000 to 2006, first as a District Manager/Specialty Sales Rep, and then as a Urology Specialty Sales Professional/Evanston Territory. Karen excelled in promoting Sanofi Aventis Urology products and ranked 6th out of 120 in the nation.

Finally, Karen started their career in 1992 as an Assistant Manager at Enterprise Rent a Car, where they demonstrated strong leadership skills and consistently increased fleet size and profit.

Karen Murphy obtained their MFA degree in Visual and Performing Arts with a focus on Ceramics from Northern Illinois University. Prior to that, they attended Indiana University Bloomington and earned a BS degree in Business and Marketing. There is no available information about their time at Harper College.
