Yigal Bejerano, Ph.D.

System Architect, Project Leader, Senior Software Engineer at VitalCheck

Yigal Bejerano, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and research. From 2000 to 2017, they worked as a Researcher at Nokia Bell Labs, where they made significant contributions to wireless and wireline network management systems. In 2016-2017, they led a collaboration between Bell-Labs and Columbia University for developing multicast-based mechanisms for low-overhead management, configuration, and information retrieval from mobile devices in very large wireless networks. Since 2017, they have been working as a System Architect, Project Leader, and Senior Software Engineer at VitalCheck Wellness. Yigal is the primary contributor to the VitalCheck online medical services system that manages services provided to tens of thousands of patients with hundreds of doctors. Yigal has designed and developed numerous critical infrastructure and application components, including optimizing resource utilization and profit. Yigal also designed a doctor assignment system to on-sites and virtual services, based on proportional-fairness concepts.

Yigal Bejerano, Ph.D. earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Yigal also earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) - Summa Cum Laude in Computer Engineering.
