Daniel Crompton, PhD has been working in the field of biomedical engineering since 2013. Daniel began their career as an Intern at the Pennsylvania Department of Health - Bureau of Laboratories. In 2014, they took on a role as a Biomedical Test Engineer at Heartflow, Inc. and also served as a Teaching Intern at Penn State University, where they taught a junior project design class and used COMSOL multiphysics and SolidWorks software packages to model and simulate designs for biomedical applications. In 2015, they began working at UPMC as an Artificial Heart Biomedical Engineer, and also began their PhD Graduate Student role at the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed as a Senior Research Scientist at Vitara Biomedical.
Daniel Crompton, PhD, started their educational journey at Penn State University in 2010, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering in 2014. Daniel continued their studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering in 2020.
