Christian Davern

Christian Davern is an experienced trading manager specializing in power and environmental markets. Since March 2021, Christian has served as Trading Manager - Power at Vitol. Prior to this role, Christian was Head of Power & Emissions APAC at Hartree Partners from May 2019 to March 2021. Christian's extensive background includes positions as Executive Director Trader and Vice President Trader at Castleton Commodities International, where expertise in energy, emissions, and carbon trading was developed. Additionally, Christian held roles as Senior Energy and Environmental Markets Trader at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and energy trader positions at Eraring Energy and Stanwell Corporation Limited. Christian began a career in economics at the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research. Christian holds a Bachelor of Business in Banking and Finance from Monash University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and a Diploma of Financial Services.
