Fabio Mercurio

Fabio Mercurio has a diverse work experience in the fields of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data science, and business intelligence. Fabio has served as the Global Head of Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence at Vitro since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of Data & Analytics at FEMSA from 2020 to 2023, where they led the deployment of data management, customer analytics, business intelligence, and advanced analytics. Fabio has also held positions such as Chief Data Scientist at Flat.mx, Data Science & Advanced Analytics at Vodafone & KPMG, and Director Data Science at Busolinea. Other notable roles in their career include being the Head of Data Science at Conekta, working in Marketing Science at Facebook, and serving as a Senior Manager at AutoZone. Fabio began their career as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer at BanRegio and worked as a Business Intelligence Data Scientist at IBM.

Fabio Mercurio holds a Master's degree in Physics from Sapienza Università di Roma, which they completed between 1999 and 2005. Fabio furthered their education by pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Game Theory and Machine Learning from Coursera, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, and Data Science for Managers from Monterrey Digital Hub in June 2020.
