Rebecca Peterson

Sr. Manager for Community Programs at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Rebecca Peterson has worked in a variety of roles in the past twenty years. From 2001 to 2004, they served as Education Coordinator at the Zoological Society of Florida. Rebecca then moved to Esslinger Wooten Maxwell as Marketing Coordinator from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they became Director of Communications at Ross and Associates. From 2010 to 2021, they worked at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, first as Community Programs Manager and then as Public Programs Coordinator and Learning Programs Facilitator. In 2021, they began their current role as Nerd Nite Organizer.

Rebecca Peterson attended Florida International University from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English, Women's Studies, and Exile Studies, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies.
