Steve Yum has a diverse background in product management and marketing. Steve is currently the Vice President of Product Management at VIZIO since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Product Management at VIZIO from 2019 to 2022.

Before joining VIZIO, Steve worked at Lab126, an Amazon.com company, from 2013 to 2019, where they held the role of Sr. Product Manager. At Lab126, they played a key role in managing the Echo family of voice-controlled products, including the Amazon Tap portable speaker. Steve also led the development of the multi-room audio feature for Alexa devices.

From 2011 to 2013, Steve served as the President of DiiVA Licensing LLC, where they led a consortium of major TV manufacturers to define a new digital multimedia networking interface specification standard.

Prior to that, Steve worked as the Vice President of Marketing at MultiMedia Crossing / Synerchip from 2006 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of marketing and led product definition efforts for digital multimedia solutions targeting high-end residential and commercial A/V segments.

Steve's earlier experience includes working as a Sr. Product Marketing Manager at National Semiconductor in 2006, and as a Product Marketing professional at Silicon Image from 2000 to 2006. Steve also worked as a Consultant at J.D. Power Asia Pacific from 1996 to 1998, where they advised foreign automotive companies on customer satisfaction in the Japanese market. Steve began their career as an Analyst at Andersen Consulting/Accenture from 1994 to 1996.

Steve Yum has a strong education background consisting of various degrees. Steve earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Stanford University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Following this, Steve pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in East Asian Studies at Stanford University from 1993 to 1994. Steve then furthered their education at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from 1998 to 2000.
