Tom Steding

Dr. Steding has been CEO of twelve high tech companies and active Chairman of several others. He was recently President & CEO of Zephyr Photonics, where he transitioned the company from an R&D lab to a commercial product company. Prior to that, he served as President & CEO of Red Condor, an award-winning venture-backed anti-spam company which he later sold to St. Bernard Software (now Edgewave). He was also CEO of other award-wining companies in cybersecurity, semantic content management, complex document management, photoelectric solar, complex protein expression and high-end tax management. Dr. Steding is also Chairman and Founder of Quadrix Partners, providing powerful leading edge consultation and intervention for creating high execution organizations.

Dr. Steding holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, California, and a MS in Management (Sloan Fellow) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Stanford, California where he graduated in the top of his class. He was a commissioned officer and the Distinguished Graduate of Armor Officer Basic at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He is the co-author of Built on Trust – How to Gain Competitive Advantage in Any Organization, Contemporary Press, 2000, and Blueprint: A Leadership Journey from Innovation to Execution, currently in manuscript.
