Jamie Reford

Jamie Reford has held various roles throughout their work experience. Jamie began their career as an Intern for Global Affairs Canada in 2014. Jamie then worked as a Media Intern at Bloomberg Business, where they wrote feature articles and assisted in investigative research and live news event coverage. Jamie then served as a Remote Area Deployment Consultant for Solar Ship Inc. In 2017, they joined the University of Toronto, initially as a Research and Publications Assistant, and later as a Research Fellow. Jamie went on to become the Chief Operating Officer for Altohelix Corporation in 2019. Also in 2019, they founded Sky Analytics Inc., a company specializing in geospatial data collection. Jamie successfully pivoted the company during the pandemic to provide autonomous drone mapping services. In the same year, Jamie also began working as an Ajunct Instructor for the University of Toronto - John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. Jamie became a Fellow for The Royal Canadian Geographical Society in 2021. Currently, Jamie holds the position of Director of Business Development at Volatus Aerospace.

Jamie Reford has a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Toronto, which was earned from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, Jamie obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science, Economics, and History from McGill University. The Bachelor's degree was earned from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jamie has obtained several certifications. These include the ROC-A certification from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, which was obtained in August 2020. Jamie is also a certified RPAS Flight Reviewer and holds an RPAS Pilot Certificate - Advanced Operations, both of which were obtained from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in October 2019 and September 2019, respectively.
