Matt Riese

Matt Riese is an experienced Software Engineer at Volley since February 2022, demonstrating a strong technical background. Prior to this role, Matt worked as a driver for Lyft and Uber from May 2013 to February 2022, and was self-employed as a custom hovercraft manufacturer between April 2008 and November 2019, where extensive modifications were made to a hovercraft based on existing blueprints. Additional experience includes serving as a deckhand on crab fishing boats under Capt. Andy Schneider and Capt. Johnny Le in 2010 and 2011, respectively, and working as a teaching assistant at San Francisco State University for a class of 700 students. Earlier experience includes an apprenticeship in residential construction, where skills in various trades were acquired. Matt holds a Master's degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
