Will Killian

Will Killian has a diverse range of work experience. Will started their career in 2010 as a Student System Administrator at Millersville University. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Delaware. Will then joined Intel Corporation in 2013 as an MIC Software Development/Validation Intern.

In 2015, Killian worked as a Graduate Research Intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, optimizing high-density physics algorithms for parallel architectures. Will continued their research at the lab in 2016, developing optimization speedup prediction models for high-dimensional codes.

Killian returned to the University of Delaware in 2012 as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on GPU and accelerator applications and iterative compilation. Will also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses.

From 2017 to 2021, Killian worked as an Assistant Professor at Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Will taught courses, advised students, contributed to curriculum development, and engaged in various university committees.

In 2021, Killian joined NextSilicon as an HPC Applications Engineer, where they helped move existing applications onto a novel compute platform and worked on performance tuning and measurement. Will was later promoted to Principal HPC Applications Engineer.

Most recently, in 2023, Killian joined Voltron Data as a Staff Software Engineer.

Will Killian completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Millersville University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2011. Will then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Delaware from 2011 to 2014. Lastly, they continued their studies in Computer Science at the University of Delaware from 2011 to 2018, although the specific degree obtained during this period is not specified.
