George Shi

George Shi is a Senior Technical Project Manager at Voltus, Inc. since June 2021, with previous experience as a Student Consultant at Bose Corporation, where a product roadmap for entry into the gaming industry was developed. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Rice University, George contributed to the development of neural network algorithms for seizure prediction through EEG analysis. During a tenure as a Product Development Engineer at Shell, George programmed a multi-sensor circuit board and developed an autonomous underwater plume tracking system. At National Grid Energy Services, consulting with clients to manage budgets and timelines was key, along with coordinating cross-functional teams using Waterfall and Agile methodologies. George began the professional journey as an Artificial Intelligence Research Intern at Rice Network Group, focusing on autonomous multi-drone missions and obstacle avoidance algorithms. Academically, George holds a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rice University.
