Romain Ferrand has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Romain started their career as a Customer Project Manager at Embedia in 2006. From 2007 to 2014, they worked at Volvo Group Trucks Technology, where they held roles as a Product Development Project Manager, Project Buyer, and Global Commodity Manager.

In 2014, Romain joined ABB as a Purchasing Manager and later became the Purchasing Director for the Regional Business Unit. Romain was responsible for overseeing purchasing activities across multiple production sites and subsidiaries, managing categories such as electronics, plastics, stamping, and transport.

Since 2017, Romain has been with Volvo Construction Equipment. Romain first worked as a Global Purchasing Manager, specializing in electronics commodity and managing a network of buyers across different sites. In 2019, they became the Director of Global Purchasing Electronics & Software, leading a multicultural team in supporting Volvo CE's strategic growth objectives in new technologies. Currently, Romain holds the position of Vice President and Head of Global Sales & Operations Planning, where they play a crucial role in optimizing the end-to-end flow of the business, considering supply chain and industrial system flexibility.

Romain Ferrand attended Télécom Saint-Etienne from 2006, pursuing a degree in Diplôme d'ingénieur.
