Julia Lopez

Julia Lopez is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in product engineering and hardware development. Currently serving as the Head of Hardware at VotingWorks since December 2022, Julia has previously held key roles at Dame Products, where contributions included managing engineering teams and overseeing multiple projects, and goTenna, where major cost reductions significantly improved profit margins. Julia's background also includes positions as a Senior Product Engineer at Unbound and a Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc., highlighting a strong track record in product design, manufacturing processes, and technical leadership. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master’s Degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering.
