Alison L. Smith

Alison L. Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Alison L. is currently working at VTS as the VP of Corporate Development & Strategy since March 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Sr. Director of Corporate Development at VTS from May 2021 to March 2022. Before joining VTS, Alison was the Sr. Director of Market Strategy & Operations at VTS from July 2019 to May 2021.

Alison also has experience working at Elemental Excelerator as a Mentor, where they collaborated with entrepreneurs to bring about positive change in energy, water, food & agriculture, and mobility systems. Alison L. was a part of Elemental Excelerator from 2018 to 2019.

Alison established their own company, Ampere Advisors, where they worked as a Founder from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, they held the role of Principal at Broadscale Group from 2012 to 2015, helping leading companies commercialize market-ready innovations in the areas of distributed energy, smart buildings/cities, and mobility.

Earlier in their career, Alison worked at GreenOrder, a strategic advisory firm, where they progressed from Senior Analyst to Associate and eventually became a Business Development Leader. Alison L. worked with numerous clients on environmental innovation strategies from 2007 to 2011.

Alison's career began as part of the Owner's Representative Group at Jonathan Rose Companies, a mission-based real estate policy and investment firm, where they worked from 2005 to 2007.

Alison L. Smith holds a B.A. degree in History from Yale University.
