Richard Smith

Richard Smith has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Richard has held various senior positions in companies such as Wabtec Corporation, IMG, Avaya, Visteon, The New York Times, and Ford Motor Company. In their most recent role at Wabtec Corporation, they served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President (CIO), Information Technology at IMG, where they were responsible for all IT services globally. Richard also served as the Senior Director, ERP, IT Architecture and Strategy at Avaya, where they implemented and maintained global ERP systems and led IT activities for mergers and acquisitions. At Visteon, they held the role of Senior Director, EMEA (Regional CIO of IT), where they managed the European Information Technology organization and delivered IT services across multiple countries. Richard has also had experience in the media industry, working as a Development Manager at The New York Times. Richard began their career at Ford Motor Company, where they held various positions in IT, culminating in the role of IT Technical Services Manager.

Richard Smith attended Purdue University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Richard then went on to study at Wayne State University from 1985 to 1988, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Computer Control Systems.
