Chfm Jason Lea Chc, Sashe

Jason Lea has extensive experience in facility operations and management. Jason is currently serving as the Director of Plant Operations, Safety & Security at Wadley Regional Medical Center. In their previous role as the Director of Facility Operations at North Mississippi Medical Center, they oversaw the flagship campus of the largest private, non-profit rural health system in the country. Jason also worked as the Director of Facilities at Wadley Regional Medical Center, where they managed a 370-bed facility and reduced costs while ensuring compliance with various inspections. Prior to that, they worked at Sodexo in various roles, including OnSite Service Solutions and Director of Engineering. Jason also held positions at OU Medical Center and Mississippi University for Women.

Jason Lea, CHFM, CHC, SASHE has a diverse education history with a focus on engineering and healthcare facility management. Jason obtained a High School Diploma in High school/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Grenada high school in the years 1995 to 1999. Jason then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University from 1999 to 2003.

In 2014 to 2016, Jason attended Texas A&M University-Texarkana and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Energy Leadership. This education further strengthened their knowledge and skills in the field.

Jason has also acquired numerous certifications related to healthcare construction, emergency management, safety, and engineering. Some of the certifications they hold include Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) from the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) in December 2020 and SASHE, Senior ASHE Member from ASHE in July 2019. Jason is also a Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (IBFCSM) in May 2019 and a Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker from ASHE in March 2019, among others.

Additionally, Jason holds several licensing and specialist certifications in fields such as HVAC-R, life safety, energy management, and boiler operation. These certifications highlight their expertise and commitment to maintaining industry standards and regulations.
