Tommaso Barbagli

Scientific Researcher at Wageningen Plant Research

Tommaso Barbagli is a Scientific Researcher at Wageningen Plant Research since September 2020, focusing on the development of technologies for the greenhouse horticultural sector, particularly in projects aimed at reducing glasshouse emissions. Prior to this, Tommaso worked as a Research Assistant at Cebas-Csic-Foods from October 2019 to March 2020, where research was conducted on lettuce production in a vertical farming system. Tommaso also completed an internship at Wageningen University & Research from March 2019 to October 2019, contributing to a thesis on sodium accumulation in closed irrigation systems within the Greenhouse Horticulture Business Unit. Tommaso holds a Master's degree in Plant Sciences - Greenhouse Horticulture from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science and Technology from Università degli Studi di Milano, along with an Erasmus+ experience at Mendel University in Brno from 2016 to 2017.
