Lara Weber

Lara Weber has extensive work experience in the communications and media industry. Lara is currently the Vice President of Global Agency Content at WE Communications, a role they began in February 2023. Prior to this, Lara served as the Senior Director of Executive Communications at WE Communications from August 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining WE Communications, Lara owned and operated LKW Services LLC since June 2021.

Lara's previous experience includes working at the Chicago Tribune Media Group, where they held various roles over a span of nearly two decades. Lara served as an Editorial Board Member and Commentary Editor from March 2015 to June 2021, during which they wrote editorials and managed the solicitation and editing of op-eds. Additionally, Lara was the Editor of Newsroom Events and Producer of "Chicago Live!" from March 2010 to March 2015, overseeing the Tribune's events platform. Lara also served as the National Health Content Editor and Associate Editor, Features and Multimedia during their tenure at the Chicago Tribune.

Lara began their career at the Times of Northwest Indiana as a Display Editor in 1992, and later worked as an Assistant Editor at the Chicago Tribune from January 1993 to January 1995. Lara also worked as an Information Graphics Editor at the Chicago Tribune from 1995 to 1999, where they developed visual storytelling solutions and won awards for their work.

In addition to their work in media, Lara Weber served in the Peace Corps as an HIV/AIDS Public Health Program Coordinator in Zambia from January 2000 to April 2002. During their time there, they developed public health awareness programs and created a student journalism program.

Lara Weber earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas between 1985 and 1990. Prior to that, they attended Topeka West High School, but no specific degree or field of study was provided.
